The work aims to expand the application of traditional Chinese percussion in a modern setting by blending theatrical elements, electronic soundscapes, and contemporary performance techniques. The instrumentation includes Kuaiban and Gu. For this performance, a HuaPeng Gu was used, though performers are encouraged to choose any drum that fits their interpretation. A stereo backing track featuring panning and digital textures accompanies the live performance, along with a click track for synchronization. While not required, stereo playback is encouraged to fully realize the spatial and immersive aspects of the piece.
